How to use Scheduled Retailer Messages

Scheduled Retailer Messages allows you to create and schedule both app notifications and emails for your customers from the retailer admin dashboard.

To get started, log in to your admin dashboard and go to:

Marketing → Scheduled Retailer Messages

From here, you can create a new app notification or scheduled email, and view the status and results of messages you have already submitted.

Creating an app notification

Select New App Notification and complete the required fields.

Submission name
Give your message a name that will help you recognise it later. This is for your reference only and will not be shown to customers.

Store name
Your store name will be pre-populated.

Display store name
You can change how your store name appears in the notification if your store is better known locally by another name.

Short message
Write the message you want customers to receive.

Your message must include:

  • Your store name, so customers know who the message is from

  • A clear call to action telling customers what you want them to do

Use the store name tag to automatically insert your store name into the message. Emojis can also be included.

Image
Adding an image is optional. You can:

  • Choose from the image library

  • Select seasonal, event-specific, new product or generic images

  • Upload your own image, following the image specifications shown in the dashboard

  • Send the notification without an image

Schedule your message
Choose the date and time you would like the notification to be sent. Messages must be submitted at least 24 hours in advance to allow time for review.

Once complete, select Preview and Submit. You will be able to see how the notification will appear to customers and check that it meets the message guidelines before submitting it.

Creating an email

Select New Scheduled Email. The process is very similar to creating an app notification.

Submission name, store name, and display store name
Complete these in the same way as you would for an app notification.

Choose an email template
You can select from available templates, including:

  • Seasonal templates

  • A generic template

  • Fascia-specific templates

Email subject line
Your subject line is what customers will see in their inbox, so keep it clear and engaging.

If you are promoting an offer, price or discount, consider including this in the subject line so customers immediately know what the email is about.

Email message
Write your email content and make sure it includes:

  • Your store name

  • A clear call to action

Use the store name tag to insert your store name automatically; add emojis if desired.

Image
In addition to header images that are part of some of the templates, you can also include a secondary image in the email. This is optional and can be selected from the image library or uploaded yourself.

Schedule and submit
Choose the date and time for the email to be sent. Again, it must be submitted at least 24 hours in advance.

Use Preview and Submit to check exactly how the email will appear before submitting it.

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens after I submit?

Once submitted, your message will be sent to your RGM or CSM for review.

They will either:

  • Approve the message, or

  • Advise you of any changes that are required

You will receive an email confirming whether your message has been approved or whether any amendments are needed.

You can also return to the Scheduled Retailer Messages homepage at any time to check the status of your submissions.

Once a notification or email has been sent, its results will also appear in this section.

How many messages can I schedule?

You can schedule up to:

  • 1 app notification per week

  • 1 email per week

The weekly allowance runs from Monday to Sunday.

You can also schedule messages in advance, so you do not need to wait until the week you want them to be sent. This makes it easier to plan upcoming offers, seasonal activity, and important store updates ahead of time.

Who will receive my scheduled messages?

Scheduled messages will be sent to customers who:

  • Have placed an order with your store within the past 12 months

  • Have not opted out of marketing communications
